BORN is looking for ideal candidates for its new operation in Costa Rica. The individual selected will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging responsive web and mobile applications for the company. Using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, this candidate will be able to translate user and business needs into functional frontend design. The successful candidate will work with the e-commerce team and will be responsible for the design of the solution throughout the life-cycle of a project. As a Developer you will play a key role in driving forward technical innovation to keep BORN Group ahead of the market.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and testing UI for mobile and web applications
- Troubleshooting through resolution of technical issues and system errors
- Unit testing of code - Working with very large and complex SQL databases
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Accurately translate user and business needs into functional frontend code
- Designing and leading B2B, B2C, multi-site and multi-country, end-to-end implementations of eCommerce platforms
Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
- 2+ years' experience in front end development
- Familiarity using Scrum/Agile development methodologies
- Experience building object oriented web applications in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
- Ability to work with technologists based in multiple, global locations
- English Proficiency
- Knowledge of React.js/Node.js
- Knowledge and experience + in CLI, CSS, GraphQL, JSON, TypeScript
