As a Digital Data Architect - CDP & MarTech you will be an active member on project teams playing a hands-on role in producing client solutions that are specifically designed to enable key event tagging, analytics targeting & personalization capabilities.  You will be encouraged to continue to develop your skills, share your knowledge with team members and peers and effectively lead work streams on multiple client engagements. This position requires a focus on client and team success, client-facing skills and a strong understanding of the project lifecycle and software development lifecycle. Job Summary

As a Data Architect-CDP & MarTech  you'll tailor data models, database tables, schemas, workflows, and scripts to operationalize and deliver marketing data solutions that meet and / or exceed needs & expectations of our clients. You'll serve as the subject matter expert,  data & solution design owner, an implementation lead as it relates to B2C and B2B omni-channel marketing solutions. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the lead Data Architect, subject matter expert, and Co-Solution Architect  for customer experience & marketing data solutions during all phases of the sales & implementation lifecycle (i.e. Request for Proposal (RFP), Discovery, and Build Phases).

  • Interfacing with client’s technical, data, and business teams, as well as any external resources, to understand, define and document the key objectives, technical, financial and / or organizational guardrails, data storage, privacy and security standards, key functional & technical requirements.

  • Responsible for leading efforts specific to the collection, modeling, transformation and utilization fo customer, event, analytical and predictive data across all the MarTech platforms.

  • Design and deliver of key data driven designs and solutions across the competency sets of Campaign management, Delivery of Targeted & Personalization of Content, Decisioning/Orchestration, Predictive Analytics & Propensity Scoring, Tagging,  Analytics, and syndication of segments, audiences and dependent content to enable key Customer communications.

  • Design, develop, and lead the implementation scripts and workflows that will deliver capabilities such as, but not limited to
    • Data casting /  formatting
    • Transformation
    • Automated Attribution
    • Curation of Universal Customer Profiles
    • Execution of Data Retention policies
    • Application & adherence to role based access controls
    • Enablement and utilization of machine learning, as well as key AI capabilities.

  • Interact with clients to translate business requirements into system | solution requirements, design specifications and document new and/or existing application requirements. Ensure that new or existing systems meet business requirements and practices and that all application interface issues/concerns are understood, documented and addressed  satisfactorily.

  • Design and work with various types of data storage / database solutions as well as query management solutions such as, but not limited to.
    • SQL Queries and Databases

    • Columnar Data Storage

  • Works closely with business partners on providing a POV on technical and process recommendations and solutions.

  • Ensure deliverables are of the highest quality.

  • Maintain a knowledge management system (aka Wiki) that provides the practice lead, Digital Architects, key contributors and stakeholders with sales, consulting and implementation resources (i.e. requirements templates, platform / solution comparisons).

  • Participate in partner hosted release events, and training programs.

  • Independently evaluate, consume, and apply key learnings from platform release notes & feature releases via updates to internal practice resources.

  • Prepares estimates & resource plans for complex projects to provide management with information needed to accurately forecast project delivery dates.

  • Assist in the mentoring, training and development of team technical skills.

  • Expertly performs evaluation, comparison and scoring of potential applications, systems and solutions, and is able to apply a weighted score value as part of assessment & recommendation.

  • Expertly performs and delivers solution design via applicable data architecture, integration design, solution context and / or functional designs where applicable.

  • Participates in cross-functional efforts to build out target solution.

  • Utilizes functional knowledge of the B2C and B2B design patterns and paradigms.
  • Act as a sales engineer both for new CDP & MarTech projects and within existing client accounts; assess client requests and propose solutions, estimates and alternatives.

  • Provide effort estimates and solution approaches for sales scenarios.

  • Position solutions and options to client business stakeholders

  • Play a direct role in client communications and expectation/scope management.

  • Play a senior consulting role for specific areas of domain expertise; working towards industry visibility.

  • Contribute to and execute on processes and practices towards delivery excellence, team happiness & client satisfaction.

Experience

  • 3+ years of architecting and implementing data marketing solutions

  • Hands on experience with two or more marketing data technologies (DMP, MDM, CDP, CRM, EDW)

  • Minimum 1-year implementation experience for one or more Customer Data Platforms

  • Minimum 1-year hands on SQL experience

  • Understanding of one or more public cloud offerings (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform) and how to solution designs that are built around these functional technologies areas: cloud compute, data storage, pub/sub, and workflow orchestration.

  •  Strong working knowledge of different SQL, NoSQL etc. datastores.

  • Strong working knowledge of the practice and application of Data Classification standards, as well as Column level data attribution & Role Based Access Controls

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate complex technology concepts with technical and non-technical individuals

  • Design, implementation, and utilization of analytics platforms, audience management solutions, segment management solutions inclusive of the data model(s), schemas, predictive analytics, propensity scoring, and data syndication.

  • Ability to create, curate and deliver design documentation such as, but not limited to
    • Data Definitions
    • Data Classification tables & diagrams
    • Integration Specifications for custom interfaces as well a configurable source connectors
    • System / solution context matrices & diagrams
  • Proven competency and familiarity with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Github.

  • Strong ability to balance multiple responsibilities and take initiative and accountability

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as problem solving skills

    • Knowledge of agile principles – scrum, backlog, etc.

    • Design & sales experience within an Agency environment is highly desirable.

    • Understanding and experience with ETL tools and methodologies (Informatica, Talend, Spark, AWS Glue, GCP Cloud Dataprep, Azure Data Factory, and similar)

    • Understanding of data integration and API methodologies and tools (Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, Custom API,, Tealium, Airflow, and similar)
    • In-depth understanding of data management platforms including relational and non-relational data engines (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, MongoDB, Hadoop, Snowflake, Big Query, and similar)

Exceptional Candidates will have….

  • Experience working with privacy enhancing technologies (PETs), such as cryptographic algorithms and data masking techniques.

  • Working experience with platforms like Storm/Flink/Spark etc. on large datasets and high throughput/low-latency applications.
